What’s New

Arcfra, an innovator in enterprise cloud infrastructure, today announced that its Arcfra Kubernetes Engine (AKE) has officially achieved Certified Kubernetes Distribution status from the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). This certification ensures that AKE meets the CNCF’s rigorous conformance requirements, providing users with a reliable and standards-compliant Kubernetes experience.

Why It Matters

The certification validates that Arcfra Kubernetes Engine is fully conformant with upstream Kubernetes, guaranteeing interoperability and workload portability across any certified environment. This milestone follows Arcfra’s recent recognition as a CNCF Silver Member and reflects the company’s ongoing investment in cloud-native innovation and open-source collaboration.

What’s AKE

Arcfra Kubernetes Engine (AKE) delivers production-ready Kubernetes with an out-of-the-box experience, enabling unified management of containers across virtual machines and physical servers. It is a modular add-on for the Arcfra Enterprise Cloud Platform (AECP), a full-stack, software-defined infrastructure that ensures high performance and stability for both containerized and virtualized workloads.

AKE is engineered with powerful features including:

  • Easy-to-Use Kubernetes Cluster Lifecycle Management: Quickly create workload clusters in minutes, manage configurations across the full lifecycle with an intuitive interface, and monitor cluster status, logs, and events from multiple angles.
  • Pre-Integrated High-Performance Storage and Network Security: Includes a production-ready CSI for reliable persistent storage, and supports flat networking with unified policy management for VMs and containers via Arcfra Network Service (ANS).
  • Enhanced Reliability, Availability, and Self-Healing with Hypervisor Capabilities: Powered by Arcfra’s own KVM-based hypervisor, nodes can automatically rebuild or restart on healthy hosts, support fast failover through manual or automatic node replacement, enable rolling upgrades with rollback, and dynamically scale in or out based on workload needs.
  • Build Kubernetes on Multiple Computing Resources: Deploy clusters across physical and virtual machines with unified management, and support GPU passthrough and virtualization technologies such as vGPU, MIG, and MPS.
  • Compatible with the Cloud-Native Ecosystem: AKE lets users choose from multiple Kubernetes versions and seamlessly integrate any CNCF-certified software — ensuring flexibility without vendor lock-in.

This conformance milestone reinforces Arcfra’s mission to simplify cloud infrastructure and empower organizations to run Kubernetes with confidence, consistency, and performance.
